SavAR
AR Cycling Helmet

2022

Cyclists remain some of the most endangered participants in public traffic, despite our cars getting safer and more aware of their surroundings.

Following our past collaboration with WaveOptics and successful exit with SNAP Inc, our many years of designing wearables has led to this life-saving concept.

The savAR helmet design aims to combine AR & AI with traditional helmet protection. The AI learns your riding behaviour, ‘anticipates’ the danger from rear (or oncoming) traffic and makes you aware of it via waveguide display tech for you to avoid collisions.

Needless to say, the savAR helmet also signals your intentions to others, as you talk to your helmet about your turning directions or inquire about directions or your riding stats .

See through the dangers, during the day or at night with savAR …and never get lost, naturally!

We used our Stratasys J55 3D printer marvel to print the helmet concept as envisioned with colors, texture, display with embedded AR graphics…
